An update on Joe Rodon’s future at Leeds United, a Tottenham Hotspur loanee, has been given by Daniel Farke.

Since joining the team on loan from Spurs during the summer window, the defender has grown to be an important member of the Yorkshire team.

The team is fighting for promotion to the Premier League, and the Welshman has made 24 appearances in the Championship.

This has sparked rumors that he might sign a long-term contract with the team, possibly in January after the season ends.

The center defender is reportedly valued by the London team at almost £20 million, given Leeds’ possible interest in a long-term contract.

Before this weekend’s matchup with Preston, Farke talked about Rodon’s predicament.

The German stated that while work is being done “behind the scenes” and they are pleased with the player’s contribution to the club, they are not yet concerned about the defender’s future.

According to Farke, “We are working behind the scenes,” as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“We couldn’t be happier with Joe.

“You can see him developing into a greater leadership role in this club.

“You can tell how important it is to him to stand up for this white shirt.

“I believe he is content to remain here and play a significant role.

“He played a pivotal role in our season-long growth and exceptionally strong performances.

“He will be with us until the end of the season, but we would like him to stay a little bit longer. It’s not an urgent matter.

Before we make summer plans, we need to focus on a few other things.

Joe is not yet a player for us, but he is definitely in our plans.

Leeds is now seven points behind Ipswich Town in second place in the Championship standings.

Prior to the Tractor Boys’ crucial matchup with leaders Leicester City on Monday night, there is an opportunity to reduce the deficit to four points on Sunday.
