Ranger striker Kemar Roofe’s injury and retirement claim are issued by a doctor.

This is not the first time the Gers forward has returned for a short while before having to deal with a lengthy absence.

According to the injury expert, there is a vicious circle of injuries that, if left unchecked, may even force an early retirement.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

As was the case with Eden Hazard, it can drive players into an early retirement if it gets bad enough.

“After Roofe resumes full training, a careful watch will be maintained, but there’s always the risk of re-injury.”

Roofe’s Ibrox deal expires at the end of the current campaign, and it is unclear if the team will decide to keep him on.

The 31-year-old has only scored a goal on one occasion this season and has only started 25% of the games.

Although his adaptability is a crucial component, Philippe Clement will undoubtedly be taking his availability into consideration because it presents serious concerns.

Lawrence Shankland status report as Hearts make first move amid transfer speculation

Hearts have yet to receive any concrete offers for striker Lawrence Shankland despite a number of clubs being credited with interest.

The league’s top goalscorer has been the subject of rumours since the summer following a successful debut season at the capital club and having backed that up with another productive start to this term both of the Old Firm sides have been linked with possible moves, while clubs down south, as well as even more affluent foreign clubs have also been credited with keeping tabs.

Though the transfer window is almost over, it’s known that no firm proposals have been submitted for the prolific 28-year-old.

Hearts, who are currently in third place in the league and play their first Scottish Cup match against League Two Spartans on Saturday, are expected to demand more than £5 million in exchange for their prize asset, given the importance of the Scotland forward to their hopes of securing guaranteed European football for the upcoming season.

Though he still has 18 months left on his current contract, they are not in a rush to let him go. In an effort to stop the rumors from spreading and lock down their captain with a better deal, they have started their own negotiations with Shankland, who has already scored 18 goals this season, and his representatives.

Although Hearts’ manager Steven Naismith is sure that not every transaction is decided upon just on the basis of money, the team is unlikely to be able to match the spending of others identified with an interest. However, the worst-case scenario for him would be a late transfer that gave the team little opportunity to reinvest in a replacement.
