SAD NEWS: Boston key player have announced his sign out and……

During the previous offseason, Boston and Memphis were already trading partners when the Celtics surprised everyone by sending guard Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies in a three-team deal that also gave them center Kristaps Porzingis. The C’s 2018 All-Star has performed admirably, but he has also missed 14 games already because of injury and rest. Consequently, Boston’s front management was searching for depth in big men.

Tillman, a 6-foot-7 forward with centering ability, comes to the rescue. The 2020 second-round draft selection has played for the Grizzlies for each of his four seasons, averaging 17.7 minutes per contest during that time. Tillman hasn’t played since January 29th against the due to a knee ailment.

Even though Boston also has Luke Kornet, Neemias Queta, and Al Horford as backup centers, having Tillman in the mix doesn’t hurt. He plays more minutes than Kornet and Queta combined, even though Tillman is probably a superior defender.

During the current season, the former Grizzly averages six points, 4.6 rebounds, one block, and 1.2 steals per game. Although he isn’t as powerful offensively, Boston doesn’t require as much assistance in that area because to players like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
