DONE DEAL:Alabama have successfully signed a contract of $30 million and…….

Former Alabama football head coach Nick Saban is another example of how golf and retirement go hand in hand. Saban took part in an event prior to the WM Phoenix Management Open at TPC Scottsdale. During the event, Kira Dixon of ESPN asked the famed college football coach about his opinions on playing golf versus managing the Crimson Tide. He answered respectfully.

Playing in front of 100,000 people and knowing what you’re doing is one thing; performing in front of a large crowd and being inexperienced is quite another. Still, it’s enjoyable.

Here, what matters most is that Saban found the experience enjoyable at the very least. Even if he’s not very good at golf, he still has plenty of time to get better now that he’s not instructing. Following Alabama’s defeat to the Michigan Wolverines in the College Football Playoff semifinals in January of last year, Nick Saban announced his retirement from college football coaching.

On Thursday, the 2024 WM Phoenix Open will get underway, with Scottie Scheffler being the clear favorite to win. The last two WM Phoenix Open stages have been won by Scheffler. Jordan Spieth, Wyndham Clark, Justin Thomas, and Max Homa are some players to keep an eye on.
