Chris Braswell HAS RESIGNED DUE TO……

Chris Braswell is one of the final Alabama football players to have spent his entire college career coached by Nick Saban. The edge-rusher developed well throughout his time with the Crimson Tide, culminating in a final season in which he replaced Will Anderson opposite Dallas Turner and finished third in the SEC sacks.

Now, Braswell is preparing for the Senior Bowl in Mobile in an effort to help his NFL Draft stock. During an introductory press conference ahead of Tuesday’s practice, Braswell was asked about the biggest lesson he learned from Saban.

Braswell praised the coach as excellent. He taught me the importance of acting appropriately when no one is around. While cameras are rolling, anyone can act morally upright, but will they behave the same way when the doors are closed? Thus, one of his greatest lessons is to always put in extra effort, even when no one is around.

Braswell, along with kicker Will Reichard and defensive lineman Justin Eboigbe, are the three Alabama players participating in the Senior Bowl. In the game, all three of the former Crimson Tide players will be on the American squad.

After 17 seasons and six national titles in Tuscaloosa, Saban announced his retirement on January 10. Kalen took his place.
