BREAKING NEWS: Browns are plaining on signing four star players worth $120 million each due to …..

Although the Cleveland Browns are not in the running for a Super Bowl this year, supporters can be confident that their team will be well-represented on Thursday, February 8 at the NFL Honors presentation.

The candidates for the yearly event in two weeks are defensive end Myles Garrett, quarterback Joe Flacco, head coach Kevin Stefanski, and defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, according to information released by the Associated Press on Thursday.

It’s great to see the aforementioned Browns receiving the credit they merit following a 2023–24 campaign that surpassed all expectations.

Garrett’s annual dominance makes it not unexpected that he is a finalist for NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Along the way to earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro first-team recognition, the 28-year-old superstar demonstrated his typical domination by recording 42 total tackles, 14.0 sacks, four forced fumbles, and 37 pressures.

It is noteworthy that Garrett received five votes for DPOY in the previous season.

Flacco, meanwhile, is a candidate for Comeback Player of the Year in the NFL. Even though the 39-year-old gunslinger didn’t join the club until December, he appeared to have aged several years.

It should come as no surprise that Stefanski, who guided the Browns to an 11-6 record and their first postseason participation since 2020, is a contender for NFL Coach of the Year. After being awarded COTY in 2020, the 41-year-old would become just the 13th coach in history to win the accolade more than once if he is successful in winning it.

Last but not least, Schwartz is a candidate for Assistant Coach of the Year. After ranking 14th in 2022–23, the Browns surrendered the fewest total yards during the regular season, in large part due to the defensive genius.

Cleveland has a bright future ahead of it, as evidenced by the fact that four Browns are nominated in their respective categories, even if winning these honors won’t equal the exhilaration of raising the Lombardi Trophy.
