This is not the first time the Gers forward has returned for a short while before having to deal with a lengthy absence.

According to the injury expert, there is a vicious circle of injuries that, if left unchecked, may even force an early retirement.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

As was the case with Eden Hazard, it can drive players into an early retirement if it gets bad enough.

“After Roofe resumes full training, a careful watch will be maintained, but there’s always the risk of re-injury.”

Roofe’s Ibrox deal expires at the end of the current campaign, and it is unclear if the team will decide to keep him on.

The 31-year-old has only scored a goal on one occasion this season and has only started 25% of the games.

Although his adaptability is a crucial component, Philippe Clement will undoubtedly be taking his availability into consideration because it presents serious concerns.
