Godfrey could certainly use a new beginning to truly jumpstart his career again, and Leeds would be the best place for him to do it right now.

Godfrey would be reunited with Daniel Farke, the Leeds manager, who oversaw some of the finest football of his career while he was at Norwich City.

Godfrey can play any position in the back four, even though his primary position is center back, and he has done so several times for Everton.

He shares many of the same strengths as current first-choice center-back Joe Rodon, including quick recovery times and adept ball handling.

Godfrey’s injury history over the last several seasons is the only real drawback to having him in this month, but a new beginning could be just what he needs to go past previous setbacks.
