On February 20, the newspaper said on its website that Premier League clubs will be gathering the next week to finalize an agreement that will be submitted to the 72 Football League teams.
Leeds might profit from this agreement, even if they are not promoted, as it will cost Premier League teams between £837 million and £925 million in payments to the EFL over the following six years.
With smaller clubs expected to gain the most from this historic agreement between the English football leagues, the funds will supposedly be split among all EFL clubs in addition to a portion of the TV contract.
Additionally, the agreement indicates that the proceeds from EFL broadcast rights will increase immediately.

In addition, the Premier League clubs who have opposed the deal because of the financial implications have not to finalize it, thus the crisis is still ongoing. Victor Orta wants to sign Willy Gnonto, according to previous Leeds United news.
