Holgate, 27, signed a summer loan from Everton to Southampton, although under Russell Martin’s coaching, he has only made seven appearances. They are in amazing shape, so it is difficult for him to argue with it.
Leeds, however, continue to lack defensive options. On the right side of defense, Connor Roberts is being connected, but a transfer for Ben Godfrey seems improbable. Charlie Taylor might show up as a target later on.

However, TalkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has since informed Give Me Sport that Leeds may choose to target Holgate before the deadline. That is, even though the ex-loanee from West Brom is presently with Southampton.

Holgate is now without playing time at Southampton, so Crook claims he would be tempted to rescind his loan and head to Elland Road on deadline day if he can get it elsewhere.

Mason Holgate is perhaps someone to continue to watch. His league team does not include him. If he obtains the opportunity to play football for a first team somewhere else, he can be cut loose and have his loan cancelled.
Mostly since he is on loan at Southampton, it would come as a surprise. To cancel his loan and then resanction it to one of Southampton’s main competitors, a lot would need to happen.
