Leeds set sights on signing a player worth £30 due to ……….

When Leeds United plays Bristol City at the end of this week, they will be hoping that a few new players have joined the team to aid in their promotion quest.

Leeds is worried that their lack of depth will be revealed as the season progresses. Notable snubs from this transfer window, including Daiki Hashioka and Fabio Carvalho, are just two examples of this fear. Leeds will be praying that a brand-new right-back will still arrive before deadline day.

Ryan Giles’ name will now be added to the long list of players who have declined Leeds’ advances this window after being linked to the team. However, there may be a bright spot for Farke’s team if Leeds can sign this right-back rather than the current left-back for Luton Town.
After Giles’ rejection, Leeds might get a better player if they can sign Wales international Connor Roberts before the deadline. According to the Daily Mail last weekend, the Whites are still interested in acquiring the Burnley player who is out of contract in order to boost their thin right-back position.

Given that the same source claims that Feyenoord and Brentford are also interested in signing the Clarets defender, Leeds will need to be tenacious in their pursuit of the 28-year-old given his prior success in the Championship.
Roberts, a division champion from the previous season, has the ability to elevate Leeds’ chances of finishing in the top two in the Championship by the end of the demanding 46-game schedule.
