Leeds United Women utterly destroyed their opponents in a goal fest, advancing them to the County Cup semi-final.

Sunday afternoon, Leeds hosted Brighouse Town Women at Bannister Prentice Stadium, home of Garforth Town, and blew them out, 20-1.

After just seven minutes, the Whites had already sprinted to a 4-0 lead and were ahead 13-1 at the half.

After retiring from football, the former England player took on his first coaching position as manager of the Rams for the 2018–19 season.

The 45-year-old led the Derbyshire team to a sixth-place finish, securing a play-off semifinal matchup with the Whites.

After a thrilling 4-3 aggregate triumph, Lampard’s team advanced to the Wembley Stadium final, where they were ultimately defeated by Aston Villa.

After leaving to move to Stamford Bridge at the end of that season, Lampard went on to coach Chelsea and Everton.

Lampard opened up on the win over Leeds, a club that Derby gained a strong rivalry with during his brief stint as manager at Pride Park, owing to the Spygate saga and subsequent play-off tussle in 2018/19.
The former midfield player thinks the triumph over Leeds was more fulfilling than any win he received throughout his playing career, even though they lost the play-off final that followed.

According to Lampard, via the Stick to Football podcast, “if I look back through my managerial career, I have had big wins which have given me more fulfillment than any of my playing days.”
