He left out of match day squad due to ……..

The 24-year-old was absent from St. Truiden’s matchday roster for their match against the Belgian powerhouses, according to a Belgian journalist who posted on his X account on Sunday, January 28. He is reportedly busy finishing off his January swap.

According to early Sunday reports, the fullback is presently en route to Elland Road to finalize his move to Farke’s team, with talks between the two parties for the Japan international having already progressed.

It was evident all through January that Leeds United required fresh alternatives at full-back. The brave decision to send Djed Spence return to Tottenham Hotspur and let Luke Ayling sign a season-long loan to Middlesbrough was made by the Whites.

The only players that remained as natural right-back alternatives were Archie Gray, Jamie Shackleton, and Sam Byram. The latter has spent much of the season playing left-back, while the other two are midfielders by profession. It was imperative to take action, and it appears Leeds is getting closer to bringing in a newcomer.

Despite his relatively young age, Hashioka has a wealth of experience from playing football for both his club teams and internationally. He has the potential to make a significant impact at Elland Road if he can get off to a quick start.

While it is hoped that this transfer will go through without any last-minute complications, the Japanese international’s exclusion from St Truiden’s matchday squad is nearly proof that he will be joining Leeds United this month.
