Doncic had 33 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals in the Game 3 win, while Irving scored 14 of his 33 in the fourth quarter.
The Mavericks hope to close out the series and advance to the NBA Finals with a win in Game 4, which will be played on their home floor.
Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz have resorted to a coaching change and decided to part ways with Dusko Ivanovic.
In an announcement by the club, it was stated that this decision was a mutual agreement between the Montenegrin coach and the club management.
The club’s website also wrote that Ivanovic is the club’s “most important and award-winning coach,” and they also thanked him for his “professionalism and commitment” in the past season.
This was Ivanovic’s fourth stint with the club, having previously led it in 2000-2005, 2008-2012, 2019-2021, and since November 2023 until now.
He led the club to three Liga Endesa titles (2002, 2010, and 2020) and two EuroLeague Final Fours (2001 and 2005).
Ivanovic was brought back after Joan Penarroya was sacked in November 2023. This season, he made it to the EuroLeague playoffs, where they were eliminated 3-0 by Real Madrid. However, they failed to make the Liga Endesa playoffs for the first time since the 1994-95 season.
