After relegation was confirmed, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is prepared to begin his rebuilding, and reports indicate that a £20 million striker is being considered.
Given the uncertainty surrounding Daniel Jebbison and Oli McBurnie’s futures, United is aware that in order to succeed next season, they will need to bolster their striking unit.
Currently, the only striker with a contract with the team that has participated this season is Will Osula.
Due to the conditions of his agreement, Cameron Archer will return to Aston Villa, as will Ben Brereton-Diaz.

Additionally, The Sun reported today that The Blades are interested in Blackburn’s Sammie Szmodics, a striker who has been a revelation in the Championship this year.
Sammie Szmodics is a target signing for Sheffield United.
The Sun reports that Blackburn is hoping to fetch a high price for Szmodics following his fantastic season at Ewood Park.
With 31 goals scored thus far, the 28-year-old is reportedly being evaluated by Brentford, Luton, and United in the summer.
Naturally, £20 million could provide a challenge for United, who will probably have to wriggle around throughout the summer despite receiving Premier League funding and parachute payments.
Chris Wilder will be eager to sign Szmodics because he has turned it on this season and is having his greatest season ever. He has also established himself at the championship level.
