The Big East Tournament championship is about the only thing that has been absent from UConn’s impressive performance over the last two years.
That may provide a dominating team that doesn’t appear to need any more incentive this week at Madison Square Garden.
The second-ranked Huskies (28-3, 18-2) are the top seed in the Big East Tournament, which includes three teams in the top 10 and four teams that are just outside the NCAA Tournament bubble: Seton Hall, St. John’s, Villanova, and Providence. They won the league regular-season championship by a margin of four games.
Naturally, March Madness enthusiasts across will be eagerly observing, including the selection committee.
