The Broncos permitted cautious backs coach Christian Parker to take off Denver and connect the Falcons staff since he was advanced to passing diversion facilitator beneath Vic Fangio in Philadelphia.

I’m energized that he has that opportunity,” Payton said around letting Parker take off Denver. “Vic and I talked at length around Christian. He was one of the coaches that we kept from final year’s staff.”
Without further ado after permitting Parker to take off, the Broncos hired Jim Leonhard to require his spot as the team’s protective backs coach.
“Jim was somebody that I had talked with final offseason,” Payton said. “He really played for us briefly. I know he played for Denver for a year. He had hip replacement surgery final year, so he was getting to be in a position where he couldn’t commit to a full time work. He made a difference out Illinois.”
“I think that he’s amazingly shinning and he was as a player. He fathomed all the issues as a player,” Payton included. “He’s got one of these tall ceilings that we see with a few youthful coaches. I say youthful, but it’s kind of all relative. I think a parcel of him, and we went through a parcel of time on that process.”
