Leeds United defeated Plymouth Argyle 2-0 this past weekend in Devon to extend their incredible eight-game winning streak in the Championship.
At Home Park, Georginio Rutter and Wilfried Gnonto’s goal-scoring exploits would undoubtedly make the news, but Glen Kamara’s more modest effort is also deserving of praise in addition to the goal-scoring heroes.

The Finnish holding midfielder, who lost just one battle in the 2-0 triumph, gave the Leeds defense some breathing room and confidence that they wouldn’t be penetrated.
Even though Kamara has had an incredible season thus far, Leeds may currently have a better player in their ranks than the former Rangers player if they had simply held onto this former loanee past his forgettable time at Elland Road.
Matt Grimes, a 28-year-old midfielder for Swansea City, can be forgiven for forgetting that he ever played for Leeds, although he did have a brief loan period in West Yorkshire in the 2016–17 campaign.
Grimes reunited with his former Swans manager Garry Monk, but he would only manage 12 unimpressive outings with the Whites before limping back to Wales.
In addition, the Whites would lose their FA Cup match against non-league Sutton United in his last game for Leeds—a chapter in the club’s history that no one particularly cherishes.
Grimes, who recently opened out about the negative impact that moving to Leeds had on his mental health, must have felt relieved to have recovered from this difficult period with the Whites and returned to Swansea as a regular first-team player.
