Former Leeds and Crystal Palace Player Ryan Hall Scores Direct From Kick-Off but Was This the ……….

On Saturday, at the London Senior Trophy semi-finals, a former EFL Championship player for Croydon FC scored an incredible goal straight from the kickoff.
Only 2.31 seconds into Croydon’s 3-0 victory over Cockfosters Reserves, thirty-six-year-old Ryan Hall, who started his professional career with Crystal Palace before subsequently playing nine times for Leeds United in the 2012–13 season, hit the net from the center spot. A day later, Croydon posted on social media a video of Hall’s incredible strike.
“The goal was timed at 2.31 seconds, which we understand to be the fastest goal in senior football in the world.”
In his final tweet, Croydon tagged the Guinness World Records official account and requested verification that Hall had, in fact, scored the first goal in senior soccer history.
In 2017, Gavin Stokes scored in the first 2.1 seconds of Maryhill vs. Clydebank’s West of Scotland Super League First Division match.
At the time, the West of Scotland Super competition was categorized as a “junior” competition. But this was determined by its position in the Scottish football pyramid, not by the players’ ages.
In November 2017, he made his Eagles debut in the Championship against Queens Park Rangers, drawing 1-1.
