Red Bull principal Christian Horner denies wrongdoing amid investigation as team launches new car
Despite being the subject of a corporate investigation into allegations of wrongdoing, Christian Horner, the principal of the Red Bull team, declared that everything was “business as normal” as he took center stage at the team’s car introduction for the upcoming Formula 1 season on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters at the launch, Horner once more denied any misconduct, but he also conceded that the probe might serve as a diversion for the team that won the race.
It goes without saying that a process is under progress right now. I completely refute some of the accusations that have been made, and I will continue to do so while adhering to the process, Horner stated.
He continued by saying that he has been carrying out his routine of leading the team.
Horner stated, “I think it’s been very clear and Red Bull’s position has been that it’s business as normal.” “Clearly, I have work to do, and I completely refute the charges that have been leveled against me. Of course, I still have a part to play.
“Of course, it is a distraction for the team, but the team are very together, they’re very focused on the season ahead and have been tremendously supportive,” Horner stated in a different interview with the BBC.
Much more so than the two drivers, Horner was heavily featured in the half-hour launch show, when he spoke highly of the team’s “very inclusive culture” and related tales from its early F1 years.
