Brody Smith Discusses His Visit to Tennessee and Feeling Like Family
Tennessee welcomed a number of gifted young people to campus for their junior day event this past weekend. Brody Smith, an offensive tackle from Bearden High School, was among the attendees. He lists offers from Tennessee, Penn State, Colorado, Miami, Ole Miss, and more. After his visit, the local product had a conversation with Volunteer Country to summarize his experience. It was a great success. The Bearden lineman said, “It’s definitely one of the better schools I’ve seen. I really liked the facilities and the hospitality.” Meeting some of the participants at the university, including a current commit, thrilled him. “The running back who committed there, Justin Baker, is a really nice guy, and I would love to block for him,” the player said. Smith spent much of his time as an offensive lineman with offensive line coach Glen Elarbee. “I spent the most time with Coach Elarbee, and everything went smoothly. After testing me on some line play, we had some time to chat. He convinced me that UT is a family, they have a great program, and they bring athletes into the league.”
