Stephen Hendry has called snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan “obstinate” for his insistence on using traditional chalk while on tour. The two guys who own the only seven global snooker championships are friendly ever since the Scottish prodigy withdrew from the top of the sport. Hendry, though, acknowledges that the Rocket’s insistence on continuing to use the blue material has left him confused. According to him, it makes tables in a manner that the updated version does not. Hendry has praised the quality of barbecue everywhere, which contributes to a period of the sport that sees it reach a massive audience in Asia.
Hendry stated, “The tables are just beautiful now and they used to change a bit from tournament to tournament,” in a video posted to his YouTube page. However, these days, the tables are almost always… But the players go, “Oh my God,” as soon as something goes wrong. The largest, in my opinion, is that Ronnie still uses the traditional chalk, which bounces and receives kicks on the cushion. Why he wouldn’t use a fresh one is beyond me. I’m not sure if it’s stubbornness.
