UPDATE:THE COACH HAVE ANNOUNCED ABOUT FALSE INFOMATIONS BEEN SPREED ACROSE……..
The rumors circulating around Leeds United that Willy Gnonto is about to ink a new deal at Elland Road excite Paul Robinson.
After continuing negotiations, it is thought that the 20-year-old is nearing an agreement on better terms to stay with the team, as reported by Phil Hay and David Ornstein of The Athletic on January 22.
This is in spite of the fact that he was frequently linked to leaving the team following his unsuccessful attempt to sign with Everton during the summer transfer window and that he hasn’t played much for Daniel Farke in the months since
After just 10 starts across all competitions for the Italian international this season, BBC Sport pundit Robinson says the relationship between Gnonto and the manager needs to be strong for him to be ready to sign under those circumstances. Robinson compares Leeds United’s squad strength to that of Manchester City, saying it is unavoidably difficult to get into.
Given that Pep Guardiola had elite players wait their turn at the Etihad, the former England keeper thinks that this dynamic may have influenced Gnonto’s decisions at Elland Road, where Dan James and Crysencio Summerville are playing exceptionally well this season.
With exclusive to MOT Leeds News, he stated: “It’s a really positive sign coming from the club.” Maintaining players is really difficult.
