Leeds are still interested in signing 30-year-old Premier League star with three days left  for ………

The fact that Daniel Farke has already acknowledged that the team is two players less than it was at the beginning of the month due to the departures of Luke Ayling and Djed Spence highlights how crucial it is to add additional defenders.

They currently lack depth at both full-back and, should Charlie Cresswell depart, central defense. Charlie Taylor of Burnley is one player they are interested in signing.

The Yorkshire Evening Post claims that Leeds had Ben Godfrey, Connor Roberts, and Taylor on their radar ahead to Thursday night’s 11 p.m. deadline, indicating which players were top of mind.

Leeds was interested in Taylor back in the summer, but a move never happened because Burnley couldn’t find a replacement for Ian Maatsen, who went back to Chelsea following his Turf Moor loan.

Leeds would be prepared to move on the 30-year-old if he became available, but again, it would probably depend on what Burnley does. His contract expires in the summer.

Taylor was largely on the sidelines the previous season, but under Vincent Kompany, he has been a regular this season, making 16 Premier League starts.

In the end, unless Burnley is able to bring in two more left-backs in the next few days, that is probably going to make it very tough to execute a deal for Leeds again.

Taylor may be one of Leeds’ top objectives, but at this point it seems like a dead end. Leeds have been patiently waiting for their first choice targets to become available for the entire month.

The 26-year-old center back is reportedly attracting interest from the Whites, according to the publication. The Toffees anticipate losing Michael Keane and Godfrey this month.

It is believed that Godfrey has been informed by Everton that he can depart provided the team receives a “acceptable” offer prior to the transfer window closing.
