After five years as a non-play-calling Bengals offensive coordinator, Brian Callahan was fired by the Titans and replaced by Mike Vrabel, a seasoned assistant. Callahan will not delegate that duty to his first Tennessee offensive coordinator, despite the fact that he has never been his team’s primary playcaller. Veteran writer Paul Kuharsky adds that Callahan will call offensive plays for the Titans. Callahan has studied under Bengals play-caller and HC Zac Taylor for the past five years. Additionally, he was employed by Gary Kubiak in 2015 and Jon Gruden in 2018. Callahan was definitely held back by not directing plays in Cincinnati, especially in light of the offensive success the Bengals saw in Joe Burrow’s first season.

Rees, a former Chargers assistant, is anticipated to take over as tight ends coach for the Browns. T.C. McCartney was fired by Cleveland last week.
