REPORT: Snooker bosses ‘wanted Ronnie O’Sullivan to lose’ as legend’s dad continues attack on WST…

Ronnie O’Sullivan’s dad has remarkably claimed that the likes of Barry Hearn would have been willing his son to lose after he qualified for the World Open in China. Just two days after beating Judd Trump to secure the World Grand Prix title in Leicester, the ‘Rocket’ was back in action against Alfie Burden in the Barnsley Metrodome.

And to tie the match at 3-3, Burden produced an incredible 104 break, putting the world No. 1 to the test. O’Sullivan, though, maintained his poise to win the following two frames and secure his place in the final 64 in Yushan.

That tournament takes place from March 18-24, adding to O’Sullivan’s already hectic schedule.
