QUICK NOTICE:During a snooker match, Ronnie O’Sullivan makes his opponent wait after taking off his shoes.

The world number one in snooker, Ronnie O’Sullivan, had to put his shoes back on during the brief break in their World Open qualifying match against Alfie Burden.

After taking off his shoes, Ronnie O’Sullivan postponed his World Open qualifying match.

The world number one in snooker held his opponent Alfie Burden waiting while he put his shoes back on during their match on Tuesday, January 23, at the Barnsley Metrodome. The Rocket, who had just won the Grand Prix the previous weekend, was equal with Burden at two frames apiece.

With a break of 61, the 98th seed leveled the scores. In the fourth frame, O’Sullivan had taken off his shoes and was spotted sitting in the corner with only his socks covering his feet

He took his time putting the shoes back on, which caused a small delay when it was time for him to return to the table. Unlike other players, O’Sullivan has not been sporting the customary dress shoes.

Because of a foot issue, the World Snooker Tour gave him special permission last year to wear trainers. In November, he said to Eurosport, “I have plantar fasciitis, which is best described as feeling like a bruise on your heel.

Consequently, it hurts a lot to plant your foot. My feet just get destroyed by shoes with leather soles. In order to sort of give my foot some extra support, I’ve got to resort to getting some pretty large old soles on them.
