Leeds are looking for another home win this evening as they host Daniel Farke’s former side Norwich City at Elland Road, looking to close the gap to second in the process. It’s a reunion for the German and Sam Byram as well after he left Carrow Road in the summer, and Farke might be eager to reacquaint with other former Canaries too in the January window.After initial claims from Calcio Mercato that Leeds were interested in signing Everton centre-back Ben Godfrey, it has been revealed by Football Insider that the club are now commencing talks with the Premier League side. 26-year-old Godfrey is not currently in Sean Dyche’s plans for regular starts at Goodison Park as the Toffees aim to put P&S charges behind them to stay in the top flight for another year.

A move to Atalanta collapsed earlier in January, indicating that the Merseyside outfit are open to the idea of the York-born centre-back leaving.The report states that Leeds’ attempts to land the defender could come via an initial loan deal, with an obligation to buy included in the agreement.
