This is typically referred to as the recruiting season because it is the offseason. We have a lot of crucial recruiting dates coming up. Tenney said, “Yes, he told me to go to their junior day on February 3,” when asked if he had been invited up for a visit. When I spoke with Coach [Josh] Heupel over the phone earlier that day, he inquired about my well-being. We get along really well. For that, I’m going to try to travel to Tennessee. This offseason, I’m also excited to travel to Oregon, Michigan, Texas, Florida, and Tennessee.” He continues, “It shows me that they are very interested in me,” as he talks about his latest meeting with the staff.

Alec Abeln would be his position coach because he is a tight end. “I have a fantastic relationship with Coach Abe. He thought I’d be a wonderful complement to Tennessee’s offense and he loves my film. They require a highly versatile, athletic TE like myself.” In addition, he discusses his friendship with Coach Heupel, adding, “Coach Heupel and I get along very well, and he said he would be more than happy to take my commitment if I wanted to go there.” Tenney is in the same class as Tennessee’s 2025 commit, Jack VanDorselaer, a tight end. Tenney was questioned on VanDorselaer and their potential collaboration. “We can be a great duo when we run 12 personnel.”
