SAD NEWS: Leeds has fired the coach just because he …..

On January 21, the publication said on their website that the Whites, Cardiff, and a number of other interested parties had slipped behind the Tigers in the competition for a defender.

Only months after joining the promoted Premier League team from Wolves, where he made just one professional game while on eight loan transfers to seven different teams, Luton’s record signing is likely to move on in the January transfer window.

Though Daniel Farke declined to comment on any interest in the 23-year-old this month [Adam Pope, January 11], he has only made 11 appearances in the top level under Rob Edwards. TalkSPORT (18 January) reports that he is a target at Elland Road.

The club seems willing to wait until the last few days of the month and try to seize chances when ripple effects from previous actions begin to show.

That’s reportedly the reasoning for interest in Tottenham’s Ben Davies, who, considering his versatility as a center-back or left-back, seems like the perfect addition for Daniel Farke this month.

Though due to injuries and bans, it is undoubtedly a long shot to sign a player who has played a significant role for a Spurs team that is now fifth in the Premier League.

If he turns out to be unattainable, it may be cause for concern that other options, like Giles, seem to be moving on in the interim.

While Junior Firpo had a strong performance in Leeds United’s 2-1 victory against Preston North End at Elland Road on Sunday, his inability to remain healthy since leaving Barcelona two summers ago and Sam Byram’s injury history are both causes for concern.
