Ronnie O’Sullivan breezes into World Grand Prix semi-finals in Leicester ……

O’Sullivan has acknowledged he no longer enjoys his current style of play and has continued to doubt his snooker future after an eventful eighth Masters victory over Ali Carter.

The 48-year-old, who will take a few months off after the competition, demonstrated his continued sharpness, though, as he overcame losing the first frame to take a 3-1 lead with two half-centuries and a clearance of 129 on either side.

Wilson, the winner of the most recent Northern Ireland Open, lost ground after his break ended on 52, which allowed O’Sullivan to return to the table and win the necessary snooker before clearing the field.

In the sixth round, O’Sullivan quickly wrapped up a commanding victory with another break of 58.

“Everything Gary did went wrong, and everything I did—not even the mistakes, just the nudging and kissing—went right. Gary didn’t get any running of the ball today,” he stated on ITV4.

“Gary made me feel bad since nobody in the crowd would have noticed it. It was just one of those games where you could not do anything well.

I’ve been playing pretty poorly, and it’s scared me. Since I had the severe arm injury, I’m not sure if it is related to my arm, but it is not healing as quickly, and I feel like I haven’t played well at all.

“Technically, I would probably be among the worst players on the tour, and I would give everything I had to be able to hit the ball like most players,” O’Sullivan went on.

I can only really attribute it to other aspects of the game that I am presumably fortunate enough to not recognize.
