Cowboys: X is banding together to mock Skip Bayless due to his actions following the Packers game.
The Dallas Cowboys, led by Dak Prescott, suffered perhaps the most humiliating of their recent playoff failures on Sunday afternoon when they were destroyed 48-32 by the Green Bay Packers. The fact that the Cowboys were playing in AT&T Stadium in front of their home crowd only made things worse for them, as many fans had assumed that Prescott and the offense would easily win.
Rather, Dallas was behind 27-0 at one point in the game before rallying late to make the final score far more reasonable than it should have been.
Skip Bayless, a well-known Cowboys fan and FS1 sports media personality, was the target of some vicious abuse on X, the website that was then known as Twitter, following the game.
On Sunday afternoon, the Cowboys did not provide much cause for celebration for their supporters. The Packers took early advantage of the situation, advancing the ball down the field for a score on their opening drive and gaining momentum. Prescott, on the other hand, had a difficult time, misfiring twice in the first half—once in front of his own end zone and once as an outright pick six.
Now that the Cowboys have no idea where they want to go in the offseason, it looks like it will be another lengthy and agonizing one. In the days ahead, there will be a lot of conjecture regarding Prescott’s and head coach Mike McCarthy’s futures, but for now, most Cowboys supporters are just experiencing a very common emotion: disappointment.
